Sports Programs

A sports program is available for boys and girls in grades 5 - 8. Wheeling Catholic belongs to the Wheeling Parochial League and participates in sports with other Catholic schools. Students are under the guidance of the coaches and moderators of these activities. In accordance with West Virginia state law, any student who is absent for any portion of the academic day due to illness may not participate in any athletic activity that day. Eligibility is reviewed on a regular basis and is based on both academics and behavior.

Boys Football, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball and Cheering are all sports offered to the students at Wheeling Catholic.

There are times when there are not enough students to successfully put a "Wheeling Catholic" team on the field or on the court, however, ever opportunity is made to offer those sports to the students by joining with another Parochial League School.

Currently Wheeling Catholic participates with the Corpus Christi Crusaders for football and Boys Basketball.
