DRESS POLICY & WINTER
INFORMATION
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

School dress code.
The following are NOT permitted:
Hoodies,
long sleeve T-shirts under short sleeve uniform shirts, colored T-shirts
under uniform shirts (navy and white are acceptable), sweat shirts that are
not WCES sweatshirts, only navy sweaters without hoods. We sell long sleeve shirts and
sweatshirts at a very reasonable cost.
AND – WE GO OUTSIDE IN THE WINTER unless the temperature
drops below 35 degrees. The air is
healthy for the students. We have
noticed students are not coming prepared with hats, coats, and gloves to go
outside. If your child is in need
of a hat or gloves, please let us know.
Dress Code (Please note that this year’s dress
code will be strictly enforced)
Girls: School logo navy blue short or long sleeve
polo shirt, buttoned completely (purchased
at school) Khaki skirt, skort or long pants (no cargo pants and skirt must
be of appropriate length) Navy
blue, white or khaki socks (knee high or crew length) No “footies”
permitted.
New
Shoe Policy: STUDENTS WILL BE
PERMITTED TO WEAR TENNIS SHOES ON A DAILY BASIS; HOWEVER, STUDENTS WILL NOT
BE PERMITTED TO WEAR ANY TENNIS SHOES THAT ARE INAPPROPRIATE.
TENNIS SHOES MUST BE LACED, TIED, AND CLOSED AT
THE HEELS –NO BACKLESS SHOES
PERMITTED.
Belts must
be worn if belt loops are on pants or skirts

may be worn from the beginning of the school year until September 30th
and beginning again on May 1st until the end of the school term.

Jewelry Small
earrings may be worn. No large
hoops are permitted, nor more than two earrings in an ear are permitted. Small chains may be worn as well as
watches and rings; however, absolutely no “fad” jewelry, waist chains, etc.

Hair Hair
must be kept neat and combed at all times.
Boys may not have hair below the collar. Ethnic styles are permitted; however,
fad colors etc. are not permitted.

Make-up. Girls in grades 7 and 8 may wear light
make-up (if allowed by parents).
Only clear or light colored nail polish is permitted. Fake paste-on nails are not
permitted.
